ABOUT RESTART NETWORK

At Restart Network we are committed to empower people from underserved backgrounds to transform their lives and start a career in the tech industry, where their help is needed.

Started in 2016 from a college dorm-room through a crowdfunding campaign by Erasmus University students Frederick Rustler and Teodor Cataniciu, Restart Network grew to pioneer a new model for education fit for the 21st century. We created the Crowdsourced School: a stage to connect organizations and resources in our community to democratize world-class education.

People from refugee, low-income, and minority backgrounds go through a one-year long transformative journey to change their lives through a career in the technology industry. We constantly innovate the way we deliver education and keep the program tuition-free thanks to hiring partners such as Port of Rotterdam, ABN Amro and STEDIN.

Restart Network is still run by its passionate co-founders along with a small core team located in the Groot Handelsgebouw, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

THE JOB

As a growing social enterprise we are generating an increasing amount of revenues from the placement of our students at companies. The Head of Outreach is in charge of fostering relationships with hiring partners and building new bridges to help our students make the step from the ONE Program to the tech industry. Concretely, we are looking for someone who can further develop and perfect our main revenue model of placing students. To support the main revenue model, the Head of Outreach should also build a community of committed donors and sponsors who support the cause for the long-term. The ability to build strong relationships with our students and partners is essential, ranging from people with diverse backgrounds to directors of tech companies of all sizes.

Responsibilities:

  • Reaching revenue objectives by uniting companies behind our mission and creating employment opportunities for Restart ONE students. (50% of your time)
  • Fostering relationships and collaboration with existing company partners (20% of your time)
  • Building a community of engaged donors and sponsors (15% of your time)
  • Developing each student’s professional profile to showcase their story, technical strengths and experience (15% of your time)

REQUIREMENTS & COMPENSATION

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Outreach/Sales
  • Proven communication & storytelling skills
  • Trustworthiness & ethics
  • Proven passion for social impact, tech and innovation
  • Understanding of recruitment landscape in the tech industry; big picture view on trends and technologies
  • Seeking a long-term role in a growing and fast-paced social enterprise

A large network in the Dutch tech industry is not a requirement but an asset. Compensation is competitive. We review job performance every 6 months and provide training opportunities, a budget for books, and 25 days of paid holiday.
